Hej, jag heter Magnus och är terroristexpert. Till skillnad mot de allmänt kända terroristexperterna Magnus & Magnus är inte jag avlönad av Krigsmakten. – Magnus Ranstorp är avlönad av Försvarshögskolan och Magnus Norell är avlönad av Totalförsvarets forskningsinstitut – Jag kan alltså tycka fritt och behöver inte ta ställning för USA och för Sveriges stöd till USA:s krig, som USA för för att få kontroll över naturresurser och transportleder. Mitt oberoende innebär självklart att det är helt uteslutet att jag skulle få uttala mig som terroristexpert i mainstream-media som t ex Sveriges Radio:s Ekot.

Nu har en självmordsbombare sprängt sig själv i centrum av Sveriges huvudstad Stockholm. Omedelbart går dumskallarna samman och skyller på religiös fundamentalism och drar igång ett anti-islamistiskt drev. Detta är inget som våra makthavare och mainstream-media, eller för den skull Magnus & Magnus, har något emot. Att odla rasismen är ur deras synvinkel mycket bättre än att det blir en offentlig debatt om de verkliga skälen till terrorism.

För att få en sann bild av terrorismens verkliga orsaker måste man rikta blicken utomlands. I USA, roten till terrorismen, får man tycka och tänka det man inte får tycka och tänka offentligt i Sverige. I USA har de inga Magnus & Magnus avlönade av Krigsmakten men däremot två terroristexperter vid namn Robert A. Pape och James K. Feldman, anställda och avlönade av Universitetet i Chicago, närmare bestämt för dess projekt ‘säkerhet och terrorism’. Om dessa två och deras forskning lär ni inte få höra i svensk mainstrem-media. Ty de har kommit fram till att terrorismen grundar sig i USA:s ockupationer, inte på religiös fundamentalism. ”Simply put, military occupation accounts for nearly all suicide terrorism around the world since 1980.” En sådan kunskap är inte önskvärd bland makthavare, mainstream-media och Krigsmakt i Sverige. En sådan kunskap vore därmed rena självmordet för Magnus & Magnus liv i den svenska mediala offentligheten. En sådan kunskap skulle ofelbart leda till ett skarpt ifrågasättande av Sveriges stöd, militärt och genom vapenförsäljning, till USA:s imperialistiska krig.

Robert A. Pape och James K. Feldman gav nyligen ut en bok Cutting the Fuse där de samlat sina rön. Boken fick inte alls det mottagande en bok med samma slutsatser skulle ha fått i Sverige. Boken mottogs med respekt av många namnkunniga och inflytelserika USA-potentater. På nätet kan man också läsa bokens första femton sidor – en introduktion. Redan där får man mycket klart för sig vad de US-amerikanska terroristexperterna dragit för slutsatser. Bland annat följande:

Throughout these years, many have presumed that the root cause of the terrorist threat confronting us is Islamic fundamentalism—a religiously motivated hatred of American and Western values among a tiny fringe of Muslims scattered across the globe, and not related to any foreign or military policies by the United States or its allies. The idea that terrorists were willing to kill themselves to achieve religious martyrdom independently of any political goal seemed to explain why Islamic fundamentalists would commit suicide attacks, a tactic that appeared to reinforce just how much “they hate us.”

As this book shows, the Madrid and London terrorist bombings of 2004 and 2005, respectively, and numerous plots against Americans were specifically inspired by the invasion of Iraq. The more we’ve gone over there, the more they’ve wanted to come over here…

If collection of comprehensive data, reasoned assessment of the facts, and debate about how information we have fits or does not fit alternative explanations can help reduce suicide terrorism even modestly, this is all worth the effort.

Prior to 9/11, the expert debate on the causes of suicide terrorism was divided largely between two explanations, religious fanaticism and mental illness. In the years after 9/11, new research on who becomes a suicide terrorist showed that virtually none could be diagnosed as mentally ill, while many were religious and, most striking, nearly all emerged from communities resisting foreign military occupation.

In brief, the new research finds the following.

1) Strong confirmation for the hypothesis that military occupation is the main factor driving suicide terrorism.

Although each of the major suicide terrorist campaigns is important, perhaps the most urgent finding within specific campaigns concerns the recent abrupt spike of suicide terrorism in Afghanistan, where starting in early 2006 the number of suicide attacks suddenly rose from a handful to over 100 per year. The key reason was United States and NATO military deployments, which began to extend to the Pashtun southern and eastern regions of the country beginning in late 2005. In 2006, the United States pressured Pakistan to deploy large military forces in the Pashtun areas of western Pakistan, which also led to a large increase of suicide attacks in the country. In effect, the more the United States and its military allies have militarily occupied the Pashtun homeland, the more this has inspired suicide terrorism to end the occupation.

2) Strong evidence for new hypotheses about the causes of transnational suicide terrorism.

Transnational suicide terrorism is a classic instance of individuals with multiple national loyalties to different stable communities of people associated with a territory, distinctive culture, and common language, one loyalty for their kindred community and another for their current country of residence, in which the loyalty for their kindred community wins out. However, these dueling loyalties do not exist in a vacuum, but are powerfully influenced by external circumstances. Specifically, the hierarchy of competing national loyalties can be strongly influenced by which community, the kindred or local, is most under threat. The hierarchy of multiple loyalties is not an a priori weighting among demographic factors such as place of birth, current residence, ethnicity, or religion, but is often constructed by circumstances in the international environment that shape individuals’ perceptions of the relative importance of their loyalties, most particularly the level of threat to the different communities valued by the individuals. Hence, the foreign military occupation of kindred communities can compel individuals with multiple loyalties to adopt a hierarchy that privileges the kindred community over the local one.

3) Important evidence for the value of a new approach to more effectively combat suicide terrorism, likely to improve the effectiveness of already well-known solutions.

Given the close association between foreign occupation and suicide terrorism, the goal of thwarting the rise of the next wave of suicide terrorism will likely require a major shift in military strategy by those target states with a military presence in foreign areas.

Så länge Sverige stödjer USA:s ockupationer och massmord så kommer vi alla att få vara beredda på att utsättas för vedergällning. Det är inget konstigt eller onaturligt att man slår tillbaka om man själv blir slagen eller attackerad. Det enda vi kan göra är att bilda opinion och försöka påverka våra makthavare så att Sveriges stöd, det militära och försäljningen av vapen, till USA upphör. Tills vi lyckas med det får vi räkna med att vi kan råka ut för ett bombattentat. Jag vill ändå vädja till alla potentiella attentatsmän och -kvinnor att ni riktar era attacker med omsorg. Jag finner det oacceptabelt att döda urskillningslöst – lika oacceptabelt som jag anser att det är att döda ockyldiga civila i Afghanistan, Irak eller var det nu kan vara – därför uppmanar jag er att rikta era eventuella attacker mot platser där våra makthavare uppehåller sig, så att de som har ansvaret också får ta det.

Det är du som är historiskt okunnig. Har du t ex läst BBC:s artikel från 1997 som handlar om att USA bjöd in en gäng företrädare för talibanerna till Texas för att diskutera en gas-pipeline genom Afghanistan? Om inte läs den här: Länk

Det är alltså inte talibanerna USA vill åt. Så då måste det vara något annat.

Svaret kan man få om man begrundar begreppet skurkstater. Det finns massor med brutala diktatorer och regimer som har USA:s välsignelse. Utmärkande för dessa är att de för en spottstyver upplåtit sitt lands naturtillgångar till USA:s privatföretag. De diktatorer och regimer som av USA benämns skurkstater behöver inte vara mer brutala än de som USA välsignar MEN de upplåter inte sina natrutillgångar till USA:s privatföretag. DET ÄR DEN ENDA SKILLNADEN.

Den skillnaden är även skiljelinjen för hur din tidning och svensk mainstreammedia i gemen skiljer mellan onda och goda. Därför rekommenderar jag dig att rikta ditt intresse mot böcker och utländsk media – gärna etablerade media i Storbritannien och USA – för att få din historielöshet utraderad till förmån för upplysthet.

Tyvärr glömde jag att tipsa Peter Wolodarski om boken ‘Oheliga krig’ med underrubriken ‘Afghanistan, USA och den internationella terrorismen’. Den är skriven av den US-amerikanske mellanösternkorrespondenten John K Cooley och är på 429 sidor fyllda med fakta om USA:s agerande i mellanöstern med tonvikt på Afghanistan. Hittar du inte boken, som utgavs 2002 och i pocket 2003, i handeln så finns den på Bokbörsen. Läs, lär och inse att Peter Wolodarski har noll koll.

Afghanska Malalai Joya blev välkänd genom svensk medier när hon lyckades få en plats i det afghanska parlamentet 2005. Googlar man på hennes namn så får man gott om träffar som leder till tidningsartiklar och tv- och radioprogram som publicerades under åren 2003 till 2007. Många artiklar och inslag tar upp det hot som Malalai Joya levde och lever under, dels som kvinna, dels för att hon kritiserat att krigsherrar och drogbaroner fått platser i det afghanska parlamentet. Någon kritik mot USA:s ockupation av Afghanistan står däremot inte att finns i intervjuerna med Malalai Joya.

2007 blev Malalai Joya utsparkade ur parlamentet av de krigsherrar och drogbaroner hon kritiserat.

Efter 2007 förekommer Malalai Joya inte alls i svensk media. Jag har åtminstone inte hittat några inslag från de senaste åren vid mina Google-sökningar på ”Malalai Joya site:sr.se”, ”Malalai Joya site:svt.se”, ”Malalai Joya site:dn.se” och Malalai Joya site:svd.se”. Kan detta bero på att Malalai Joya började kritisera USA:s ockupation?

För en dryg vecka sedan talade Malalai Joya vid San Jose State University i USA och signerade sin bok ”Kvinna bland krigsherrar”. I första hand var hon är i USA för att försöka få tala med Nobels fredspristagare, Barak Obama. Men det fick hon tyvärr inte.
Det Malalai Joya skulle vilja säga till Barak Obama är tydligen inte intressant för fredspristagaren. Uppenbarligen är det inte heller av den karaktären att det motiverar publicering i svensk mainstreammedia. Men Malalai Joya har fått utrymme i den US-amerikanska tidningen Mercury News för att säga följande. (Texten finns i svensk översättning hos Kildén och Åsman)

U.S. is doing no good in Afghanistan

As an Afghan woman who was elected to Parliament, I am in the United States to ask President Barack Obama to immediately end the occupation of my country.

Eight years ago, women’s rights were used as one of the excuses to start this war. But today, Afghanistan is still facing a women’s rights catastrophe. Life for most Afghan women resembles a type of hell that is never reflected in the Western mainstream media.

In 2001, the U.S. helped return to power the worst misogynist criminals, such as the Northern Alliance warlords and druglords. These men ought to be considered a photocopy of the Taliban. The only difference is that the Northern Alliance warlords wear suits and ties and cover their faces with the mask of democracy while they occupy government positions. But they are responsible for much of the disaster today in Afghanistan, thanks to the U.S. support they enjoy.

The U.S. and its allies are getting ready to offer power to the medieval Taliban by creating an imaginary category called the ”moderate Taliban” and inviting them to join the government. A man who was near the top of the list of most-wanted terrorists eight years ago, Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, has been invited to join the government.

Over the past eight years the U.S. has helped turn my country into the drug capital of the world through its support of drug lords. Today, 93 percent of all opium in the world is produced in Afghanistan. Many members of Parliament and high Advertisement ranking officials openly benefit from the drug trade. President Karzai’s own brother is a well known drug trafficker.

Meanwhile, ordinary Afghans are living in destitution. The latest United Nations Human Development Index ranked Afghanistan 181 out of 182 countries. Eighteen million Afghans live on less than $2 a day. Mothers in many parts of Afghanistan are ready to sell their children because they cannot feed them.

Afghanistan has received $36 billion of aid in the past eight years, and the U.S. alone spends $165 million a day on its war. Yet my country remains in the grip of terrorists and criminals. My people have no interest in the current drama of the presidential election since it will change nothing in Afghanistan. Both Karzai and Dr. Abdullah are hated by Afghans for being U.S. puppets.

The worst casualty of this war is truth. Those who stand up and raise their voice against injustice, insecurity and occupation have their lives threatened and are forced to leave Afghanistan, or simply get killed.

We are sandwiched between three powerful enemies: the occupation forces of the U.S. and NATO, the Taliban and the corrupt government of Hamid Karzai.

Now President Obama is considering increasing troops to Afghanistan and simply extending former President Bush’s wrong policies. In fact, the worst massacres since 9/11 were during Obama’s tenure. My native province of Farah was bombed by the U.S. this past May. A hundred and fifty people were killed, most of them women and children. On Sept. 9, the U.S. bombed Kunduz Province, killing 200 civilians.

My people are fed up. That is why we want an immediate end to the U.S. occupation.

My country hasn’t been liberated: it’s still under the warlords’ control, and Nato occupation only reinforces their power

In 2005, I was the youngest person elected to the new Afghan parliament. Women like me, running for office, were held up as an example of how the war in Afghanistan had liberated women. But this democracy was a facade, and the so-called liberation a big lie.

On behalf of the long-suffering people of my country, I offer my heartfelt condolences to all in the UK who have lost their loved ones on the soil of Afghanistan. We share the grief of the mothers, fathers, wives, sons and daughters of the fallen. It is my view that these British casualties, like the many thousands of Afghan civilian dead, are victims of the unjust policies that the Nato countries have pursued under the leadership of the US government.

Almost eight years after the Taliban regime was toppled, our hopes for a truly democratic and independent Afghanistan have been betrayed by the continued domination of fundamentalists and by a brutal occupation that ultimately serves only American strategic interests in the region.

You must understand that the government headed by Hamid Karzai is full of warlords and extremists who are brothers in creed of the Taliban. Many of these men committed terrible crimes against the Afghan people during the civil war of the 1990s.

For expressing my views I have been expelled from my seat in parliament, and I have survived numerous assassination attempts. The fact that I was kicked out of office while brutal warlords enjoyed immunity from prosecution for their crimes should tell you all you need to know about the ”democracy” backed by Nato troops.

In the constitution it forbids those guilty of war crimes from running for high office. Yet Karzai has named two notorious warlords, Fahim and Khalili, as his running mates for the upcoming presidential election. Under the shadow of warlordism, corruption and occupation, this vote will have no legitimacy, and once again it seems the real choice will be made behind closed doors in the White House. As we say in Afghanistan, ”the same donkey with a new saddle”.

So far, Obama has pursued the same policy as Bush in Afghanistan. Sending more troops and expanding the war into Pakistan will only add fuel to the fire. Like many other Afghans, I risked my life during the dark years of Taliban rule to teach at underground schools for girls. Today the situation of women is as bad as ever. Victims of abuse and rape find no justice because the judiciary is dominated by fundamentalists. A growing number of women, seeing no way out of the suffering in their lives, have taken to suicide by self-immolation.

This week, US vice-president Joe Biden asserted that ”more loss of life [is] inevitable” in Afghanistan, and that the ongoing occupation is in the ”national interests” of both the US and the UK.

I have a different message to the people of Britain. I don’t believe it is in your interests to see more young people sent off to war, and to have more of your taxpayers’ money going to fund an occupation that keeps a gang of corrupt warlords and drug lords in power in Kabul.

What’s more, I don’t believe it is inevitable that this bloodshed continues forever. Some say that if foreign troops leave Afghanistan will descend into civil war. But what about the civil war and catastrophe of today? The longer this occupation continues, the worse the civil war will be.

The Afghan people want peace, and history teaches that we always reject occupation and foreign domination. We want a helping hand through international solidarity, but we know that values like human rights must be fought for and won by Afghans themselves.

I know there are millions of British people who want to see an end to this conflict as soon as possible. Together we can raise our voice for peace and justice.

Två dagar tidigare hade The Guardian publicerat en artikel där USA:s vicepresident Joe Biden förklarar i vems intresse USA ockuperar Afghanistan.

”In terms of the national interests of Great Britain and the national interests of the United States and Europe, it is worth the effort we are making and the sacrifice that is being felt and more will come.”

När får vi läsa detta i svenska medier???

För bara en timme sedan kunde jag i Aftonbladet glädja mig åt att läsa att fem svenska soldater har skadats i Afghanistan.

Är man så jävla dum i huvudet att man frivilligt åker till Afghanistan för att under NATO-ledning hjälpa USA att skaffa sig en strategisk punkt i stormakternas krig om naturresurser så får man stå sitt kast.

Vad hoppas dessa idioter uppnå med sin insats i Afghanistan? Enligt vad jag hört tror de stackars intelligensbefriade nollorna att de hjälper afghanerna genom att döda de som inte accepterar USA:s ockupation. Troligen har de samma inställning till demokrati och frihet som sin arbetsgivare USA. Dumskallarna tror troligen att begreppet demokrati innebär att; USA ska styra valet av sina lydstaters och ockuperade länders statsledning genom att sålla bort de kandidater som inte är undergivna mot USA, och sedan låta befolkningen välja utfifrån det urval USA gjort.
Att stackars förståndhandikappade soldater inte fattar bättre än vad de blir tillsagda att förstå förstår jag mycket väl med tanke på att man blir för fan inte USA-lakej och mördar på USA:s order om man är vid sina sinnes fulla.

Nu får vi för afghanerans skull hoppas att ännu fler svenska soldater skadas och dör. Det skulle sannolikt innebära att färre underbegåvade stackare lät sig värvas till att delta och döda afghaner i USA:s krig.

Nedan skriver IntnsRed om sina två uppdrag i Honduras och vilka följderna av USA:s krig blev för de som levde där.

Resultatet av USA:s krig – en soldats berättelse

During the 80s when I was in the military, I was deployed to Honduras twice as part of Reagan’s war on Nicaragua. The missions were both the same — practice deployment, provide some security for engineers who were building roads and airstrips, train the Hondurans a little, and basically show a US military presence.

The first trip sucked. The people in Honduras there were basically poor subsistence farmers. They owned little plots of land and grew the ”Aztec trilogy” — corn, beans, and squash — in enough quantity to feed themselves and sell a little at the local market. Worse — remember, I was a gung-ho, thoroughly-indoctrinated GI at the time — beer was scarce and all the farmers’ daughters were Catholic. So we weren’t able to do much drinking and whoring. All in all, a thoroughly shitty deployment.

A year later I was sent back — and what a difference a year made! I remember in particular one little town that I had also visited the first year. The second year the town had a cement block building! It was the combination town hall, police station, etc., all wrapped up into one.

But even more shocking was the terrain and the local population. During that year US ”foreign aid”[sic] started flowing big-time. All of the campesino’s (the family farmers) land was bought up and was organized into huge plantations. The plantations grew broccoli and strawberries to be exported to the US market.

For the now-unemployed family farmers, this was a social disaster. First, any one of them would sell you their daughter for the night, for the week, for however long you were willing to pay. That surprised me. Even more surprising was the way the farmers worked.

The former family farmers were forced to compete for jobs on the plantations. But there were jobs available only basically at two times of the year — planting season and harvest season. For the rest of the time the farmers were unemployed.

So, how did the people who imposed this system handle the situation? Alcohol was a key. Drunken farmers were all over the place and beer was cheap. I never saw obvious drunkeness in my first deployment. But in my then-warped view, the second deployment was much better — plenty of warm beer and warm farmers’ daughters.

The most shocking thing I saw was the role of US foreign aid. After all, those formerly independent farmers were now unemployed and half-starving most of the year. So the US gov’t came to the rescue! The US Agency for Int’l Development distributed huge sacks of wheat — complete with the American flag on each bag of wheat.

There was only one problem though.

Those people of rural Honduras didn’t grow wheat and were unfamiliar with it. They didn’t know how to cook with wheat. Again, the US gov’t came to the rescue! They distributed — I’m not kidding — these Spanish-language booklets of recipes and instructions on how to cook wheat.

I was dumbfounded. They took an honorable people who were poor — but surviving fine — and turned them into semi-employed beggars. The US got cheap broccoli and strawberries and some members of the Honduran oligarchy no doubt made out like bandits. But to me, it was a simple case of imperialism and capitalism ruining a viable culture and social structure.
